New News and Timely Reminders:

Reading Olympics - Perkiomen Valley Middle School West sent two teams to the twentieth annual Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Reading Olympics competition held at the Pope John Paul, II High School. The event featured over forty teams from more than twenty middle schools in Montgomery County. The teams of sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students read a combined total of forty-seven books since the beginning of the school year and answered questions about them during the competition. These students will also be Middle School West ambassadors when we host the MCIU elementary Reading Olympics competition later this month. Congratulations to our blue- and red-ribbon Reading Olympics teams of Little Women and a Few Little Me. You make us PV Proud!

Advanced Orchestra - On Wednesday, March 13th the Advanced Orchestra traveled to a local-area school to participate in a Music Performance Assessment sponsored by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA). They had a great performance and earned an "Excellent" rating. Following the performance, they participated in a clinic and received many helpful tips on ways to refine their future performances.
