Mrs. Milligan
Dear PVMS West Families,

As our first week of April comes to an end, we are actively involved with the spring season for both sports and music!  A reminder to all that electronic report cards will open in HAC on Monday, April 12th at noon.  Please review the informational items below for upcoming events and news to know.

New News:

Congratulations to the PV West Jazz Band who earned a Superior rating last Friday! The band also received the best saxophone section, and Luke R. earned a best soloist award for his trombone solo on “Africa.”  (We are eagerly looking forward to our spring concert series: MS West Orchestra, April 8, 2019; HS Jazz Band at MS West, April 26, 2019; MS West Band, May 6, 2019; MS Choir, May 9, 2019; Talent Showcase and Art Show, May 20, 2019.  Please join us as we celebrate the very best of the arts!)

GeoStars Update – West’s GeoStars did a phenomenal job presenting their project in Harrisburg last Friday.  Unfortunately, the team did not place, but they learned a great deal from an experience that allowed them to explore their creativity as well as their ingenuity.  Considering the value of the NatGeo Challenge, Ms. Emers said, “I left feeling confident that today’s youth will have the motivation and commitment to solve the problems of tomorrow.”  Well done, GeoStars!

Grades – Third marking period grades are scheduled to be published via HAC on April 12, 2019 at noon.

Reminder - End of Vector 4 - April 12th.

from Home and School – As we move into spring, it's time to start thinking about Home & School elections.  Every year, we elect four new board members to help shape and execute what the Home & School does the following year.  If you are interested in being on the H&S board for the 2019-20 school year, please contact Amy Butler at amyjpowers@hotmail.com.
