Mrs. Milligan, Principal
Dear West Families,

First and foremost, I hope all are well.

Since the district has offered a number of recent communications,

I am offering a quick reference instead of a lengthy update:

  •  Schools are closed “indefinitely,” as per Governor Wolf.
  •  Today marks the end of week one of new learning.  (Students should have logged into their Google Classrooms, daily, and participated in the posted activities and assignments.  Work from this week is representative of new learning, not review; therefore, it does “count.”)

  •  If your child is struggling, please reach out to his/her teacher, team, counselor, or administrator for advice/support via email.  Any/all communications are welcome!

  • PVSD’s third marking period ends on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.  (Please remind your child/ren to turn in any/all work due as soon as possible.)

  • April 6th and 7th – Students should log into their Google Classrooms and participate in the posted activities and assignments.

  • Spring Break, April 8-13; students should return to their online classes on Tuesday, April 14th.

  • Events and Activities – Many (mostly April) events have already been cancelled or postponed; we are awaiting additional information from the state in specific regard to May/June.  More to come….

  • Retrieving personal items - The district is considering this request; currently, no date/time has been set.

  • Technology needs – The tech team will honor pre-scheduled appointments at the high school on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 between noon and 2:00 p.m.  (Proceed to the front entrance loop, form a line, and please remain in your car.  The team will wave you forward when they are ready to assist you.  You must have a copy of your email/ticket number associated with your appointment.)

  • Please refer to the district website for additional information as well as all past videos and correspondences.

West’s faculty and staff is here to support you and your student(s); just reach out to us through email. Please stay safe during this time!
